Welcome back to Catdroool’s Weekly Round-up. What a week to be making a round-up. What a time to be alive. I’m fatigued from people telling me what to do, how to feel, and how to process the news of the week. I’m not here to tell you how to do any of that. Personally, I have been trying to find small moments of gratitude when I can. Those small moments ladder up and give me strength.
Here are some moments from my week:
1. Sketchbook page of the week
This is loosely based off a photo I took this week of a shadow casted by someone’s gate. Can’t get my mind off those. On this page I gave myself the freedom to explore and layer using wax pastel crayons.
2. Cat pic of the week
Seems about right.
3. The sky is pretty cool sometimes
4. Leaf imprints
I love when leaves make these shadowy imprints on the sidewalk. Their ghostliness and impermanence captivate me. Couldn’t recreate this beauty with my own hands if I tried.
5. I’ve been running lately.
I’ve been trying to run 2-3 times a week. I can’t run fast, and I can’t run too far, but I’m seeing progress little by little. It has been incredible for my mental health (go figure). Highly recommend.
6. November Catdroool Club
November’s print is a 3 color risograph reminder to do something good today. There are 8 days left to get this print for $6.
7. Communal crafting
Join me at Lot’sa (4150 N. Elston) on Saturday 11/9 for communal crafting free of charge.
I hope wherever you are, you’re taking care of yourself. Until next week.
