August is one of my favorite months. It seems as though summer slows down a little, the warmth from June and July have settled. It’s the perfect month to jump in the lake, go camping, and go for long walks around the neighborhood. Here are some things I’ve been up to lately.
Avrom Art Market
Last weekend I went to Avrom Farm Party for the first time. I brought with me 5 of my favorite local artists from Chicago, and we shared our work with the lovely crowd Avrom attracts. We had a blast. If you haven’t been, Avrom Farm Party is a gathering near Green Lake, Wisconsin where attendees can listen to magical music, eat delicious, locally sourced food (seriously, the food was incredible), camp under the stars, make new friends, dance the night away, and so much more. We were so honored to be a part of the magic this past weekend.
Check out these artists if you don’t know them already:
3 days left: No Rain… No Flowers!
Every once in awhile I like to do an Everpress tshirt campaign. It helps me test new designs and try to reach a wider audience through the Everpress marketplace. I’ve always been really inspired by all of the designs people submit.
There are 3 days left to order a No Rain… No Flowers! tshirt or sweatshirt. It comes in white, yellow, or pink! Don’t miss it, because I don’t know if I’ll make it again.
Lot’sa fun coming soon
I’m so excited to share that I’m opening a creative community space in Chicago with my favorite artist sister duo– Gingergold (Cheryl & Sarah Hinman).
Lots’a is coming this fall, around the corner from Color Club, and here you can shop local art, take a workshop with us, and cowork!
Cheryl, Sarah, and I have frequently shared dreams of having an art space where we can make our art and while inviting others to come into our art universe. We’ve found so much joy through art, and cannot wait to share that with a wider community. We’re beyond stoked to do this with Color Club – they are incredible people sharing exciting music, comedy, art, and culture.
Come check us out this fall… and in the meantime, we’d love if you shared or donated to our fundraiser. It’s no small feat to open a physical space and it takes a village. Thanks so much to everyone who has already donated or shared. Your support means everything.
Thanks for reading, sharing, and supporting my art practice. It means so much to me. More art coming soon!
Such a great weekend!!
