I know, it happens every year. Still feels crazy when it does. Like the sun rising every morning. Pretty nuts. If you’re not in Chicago, it’s snowing. Everyone’s freaking out. Anyway, here are 8 photos from my week.

Been drawing a lot of whatever this is this week. Reminding me of how the solstice is coming, the shortest day of the year. I’ve really been feeling the effects of having less light and I think this is a reminder that community is a source of light. Together we make light. Wow, that’s corny. Ok moving on.

As usual, no explanation needed. Cats are everything. I love them. They are perfect. No notes.

3. shadow of the week

Shadows have been my obsession this year. Can’t look away. Stay tuned and maybe we’ll both figure out why.

Is it just me or do you also love to look at your “On Repeat” playlist from the Spotify overlords? I’m like, “yeah, I do really like that song.” Thanks, Spotify. & also – “wow, that made it on here?” Interesting.

5. squirrel pic of the week

This was a video, but I’m too lazy to upload it to Substack. I love squirrels. I recently learned my brother also loves squirrels. I mean, I’ve never really met an animal I don’t like, but they’re so damn cute. In the video, this squirrel is waving their tail around and it’s really pretty. 8. cabin pic from my week

Last weekend I went to a cabin in Viroqua, WI with Toad the Dog & Molly Anne Bishop the Human. We made fires, pizza, watched Zoolander, and spent all day DRAWING. It was soul filling. Cabins are awesome. Friends are awesome. Dogs are awesome. Drawing is AWESOME!!!
